A Destination Wedding Weekend at Villa Mosconi Bertani in Verona, Italy

There are wedding weekends that feel beautiful, and then there are wedding weekends that become something absolutely meaningful: a gathering of cultures, families, friendships, laughter, and genuine affection. Paulina and Erik’s August 2026 wedding weekend in Verona was exactly that.

As a wedding photographer Italy and wedding videographer Italy, we, Fábio & Jules, had the privilege of documenting this beautiful German-Swedish couple as they welcomed their closest family and friends to Italy for a celebration filled with elegance, warmth, and an incredible sense of togetherness. It was a destination wedding in the truest sense: Italy provided the scenery, but the people created the atmosphere.

Verona has an extraordinary ability to make a wedding weekend feel cinematic. Its historic architecture, rolling vineyards, warm summer light, and connection to romance create an unforgettable backdrop for couples travelling from across Europe and beyond.

For Paulina and Erik, the weekend began with an intimate welcome evening at Miski Restaurant, high above Verona.

As a destination wedding photographer team Italy, this first evening was already an important part of the story. It wasn't simply a dinner before the wedding. It was the moment when two families and different cultures came together.

Sunset Welcome Dinner at Miski Restaurant

Welcome dinner at Miski Restaurant in Verona

As the sun began to descend over Verona, the sky transformed into a constantly changing palette of warm gold, pink, orange, and blue. The city and vineyards stretched out below the guests, creating an extraordinary natural backdrop for Paulina and Erik's official welcome. We captured digital as well as analog photographs and videos of the whole weekend.

The couple greeted their friends and family with the effortless style and elegance that characterized the entire weekend. Yet beneath that elegance was something even more beautiful: genuine warmth. The German and Swedish sides of the couple's families came together naturally, sharing conversations, embraces, laughter, and anticipation for the wedding day ahead.

For us, this was one of the most rewarding aspects of working as an Italy wedding photographer and videographer team. The photographs and films weren't only about the architecture or the details. They were about preserving the relationships that made this weekend matter.

The sunset over Verona became a visual metaphor for the beginning of the celebration: two families arriving from different places all over the world and becoming one circle of people celebrating the same love.

Getting Ready at Butterfly Verona in the Heart of the Historic City

The wedding day began in the heart of Verona at Butterfly Verona. Located in Verona's historic center it is a private urban retreat combining intimate hospitality with Italian luxury design. It was a wonderful setting for the Getting Ready.

The atmosphere was elegant but relaxed. Details came together gradually, anticipation grew, and the energy shifted as Paulina and Erik prepared to leave the city and make their way to Villa Mosconi Bertani. As Wedding photography Italy specialists, we love these quieter parts of a wedding day because they allow the story to breathe.

The smiles, nervous excitement, and little interactions between family members all become part of the visual narrative.

Here, the grooms Getting Ready still has our heart. The future husband was surrounded by his closest family and friends; the atmosphere was lively, and at the same time, you could sense the underlying joyful excitement.

For the video, these moments are equally important. A wedding video isn't only about the ceremony or the party. It is also about the pauses, glances, movement, voices, and atmosphere that photographs alone cannot preserve.

Wedding Photographer Mosconi Bertani: The First Look in the Salone delle Muse

From Verona, the celebration moved to the breathtaking Villa Mosconi Bertani.

For us, as wedding photographer team, Villa Mosconi Bertani meant having an extraordinary collection of architectural and natural settings in which to tell Paulina and Erik's story. One of the most memorable moments was their first look inside the “Salone delle Muse” - Chamber of the Muses.

The room itself is remarkable. The Chamber of the Muses as a three-story-high space decorated with 18th-century frescoes, trompe-l'oeil details, figures representing the muses of art and science, and an allegory of the passage of time.

Against this timeless setting, Paulina and Erik saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. It was intimate, emotional, and beautifully restrained. Rather than turning the first look into a staged spectacle, we focused on the genuine reaction between them. The grandeur of the room provided the setting; their connection provided the story.

This is precisely what we value in luxury wedding photography Italy: creating images that feel sophisticated and editorial while remaining emotionally authentic. Additionally, analog photos have found their way into this gallery. Raw, evocative, and with a nostalgic touch.

The Villa Mosconi Bertani Secret Garden Wedding Ceremony

After the first look, guests gathered in the lush garden of Villa Mosconi Bertani for the wedding ceremony.

The natural surroundings created an atmosphere that felt romantic without being overly formal. Greenery, historic architecture, summer light, and the anticipation of the ceremony came together naturally. The modern and stylish floral arrangements by Lory Floral Designer complemented the elegance of the villa beautifully. The contrast was particularly effective: contemporary floral design against historic Italian architecture and mature gardens.

The wedding day was coordinated by Ella Events Italy, helping bring together the many moving parts of the celebration.

As a wedding photographer and videographer at Villa Mosconi Bertani, this setting offered an incredible variety of visual moments: wide cinematic views, close emotional reactions, and movement through the gardens.

For Paulina and Erik, it became the setting for one of the most important moments of the entire weekend.

Elegant Portraits as the Italian Sun Began to Set

After the ceremony, the celebration continued with cocktails, canapés and time spent together. We also took the time for a brief portrait session with Paulina and Erik.

This was intentionally short. A destination wedding isn't a photoshoot interrupted by a party. It is a celebration, and our role as a professional wedding photography and videography team Italy is to make space for beautiful portraits without taking the couple away from their guests for too long.

As the sun moved lower, the villa became increasingly atmospheric. Warm light brushed across the architecture and gardens, while the couple had a few quiet moments together away from the crowd.

These photographs became some of our favorite images from the weekend because they combine the sophistication of an Italian destination wedding with the intimacy of two people completely present with one another.

Dinner, Cake Cutting and Dancing

As evening settled over Villa Mosconi Bertani, guests enjoyed dinner surrounded by the beauty of the estate. The mood gradually shifted from elegant dinner with emotional speeches to celebration.

The cake cutting marked the transition, followed by the wedding dance and the beginning of an energetic night of partying.

Paulina changed into her party dress, and the atmosphere became increasingly lively. Everyone danced. Everyone celebrated. Everyone seemed determined to make the most of the night.

For an Italy wedding photo and video team, these moments are priceless because they cannot be recreated. The spontaneous embraces, laughter, dancing, champagne, movement, and expressions are the memories couples often treasure most years later.

For best wedding photographer Italy search, couples often look for more than beautiful images. They want someone who understands how to use a venue's architecture, light, landscape, timing, and atmosphere without allowing the location to overpower the story.

Villa Mosconi Bertani provides an extraordinary canvas. The Chamber of the Muses offers grandeur and history. The Secret Garden provides nature and intimacy. The surrounding estate offers opportunities for portraits, celebrations, and cinematic transitions. Together, these spaces make it possible to create a complete visual narrative.

Wedding Photography and Videography Italy for International Couples

Paulina and Erik's wedding also demonstrated why combining photography and videography can be so powerful. Photography preserves individual frames: a look, a smile, a hand, a hug, a detail. Videography preserves movement and atmosphere: voices, music, laughter, embraces, dancing, and the way people interact.

As an Italy wedding photographer and videographer team, Fábio & Jules approach these two disciplines as complementary parts of one story. Our goal is not simply to document what happened. It is to preserve how the weekend felt.

For couples searching for a destination wedding photographer Italy or destination wedding videographer Italy, that distinction matters. Your wedding photographs should still feel meaningful decades from now. Your wedding video should transport you back to the people, sounds, movement, and atmosphere of the day.

Fábio & Jules: Telling Your Italian Wedding Story

Paulina and Erik's wedding weekend reminded us why we love destination weddings in Italy. From the colorful sunset at Miski to the historic atmosphere of Butterfly Verona, from the first look in the Chamber of the Muses to the Secret Garden ceremony and the wild dancing that followed dinner, every chapter had its own character.

Italy supplied the setting. Villa Mosconi Bertani supplied the history and beauty. Verona supplied the atmosphere. But Paulina, Erik, their families, and their friends supplied the heart and soul.

For couples planning their destination wedding in Verona, Lake Como, Tuscany, or elsewhere in Italy, we believe the best wedding photography and videography does more than create beautiful images. It tells the story of the people who were there. It preserves the atmosphere. It captures the moments you didn't even realize were happening.

And years later, it allows you to return to the feeling of being there. That is what we aim to create as a wedding photographer Italy, wedding videographer Italy, and Italy wedding photo and video team.

Paulina and Erik, thank you for welcoming us so warmly into your celebration. It was an absolute privilege to document your beautiful Italian wedding weekend.
